Joris Derder
Joris studied singing with Rita Piron and Ludwig van Gijsegem, then at Bernadette Degelin at the Royal Music Conservatory of Antwerp. He received lessons from Lucienne Van Dijck, Andrew Wise and Guy Joosten. He followed master classes with John Norris and Udo Reinemann. Joris is being coached by Bart De Kegel today. Joris is baritone at the Flemish Radio Choir and Hervé Niquet. He also worked with, among others Jos Van Immerseel, Philippe Herreweghe, Marcus Creed, Kaspars Putnins, Paul Hillier and many other conductors and ensembles. Joris performed roles in Carmen by G. Bizet and Orfeo of F. Bertoni. Joris is conductor of the Gent University Choir and Chamber Choir Koriolis. He was taught by Jan Vuye, Daan Admiral, Jos Van Veldhoven and Daniel Reuss.
